Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers. It was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 simply by David Brown, it became associated with expensive fantastic touring cars in the 1950s plus 1960s, and with the fictional character James Connection following his use of the DB5 model in the particular 1964 film Goldfinger. Their particular sports cars are regarded as a British cultural icon. Aston Martin has held a Royal Warrant as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince of Wales since 1982. This has over 150 car dealerships in over fifty countries on six continents, making them a global car brand. The company is traded at the Greater london Stock Exchange and is a constituent from the FTSE 250 Index.
Headquarters and major production site are in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, alongside one of Jaguar Land Rover's development centres on the site of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. One of Aston Martin's latest cars was named after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has introduced plans to turn alone into a global luxury brand, and is significantly branching out into tasks including speed boats, bicycles, clothing and real property development, even submarines and aircraft, mostly on the license basis
