Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and fantastic tourers. It was created in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 simply by David Brown, it grew to become associated with expensive great touring cars in the year 1950s and 1960s, and with the fictional character James Connection following his utilization of the DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their own sports cars are regarded as a British cultural icon. Aston Martin provides held a Royal Warrant as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince of Wales since 1982. It has over 150 car dealerships in over 50 countries on six areas, making them a worldwide car brand. The company is traded at the Greater london Stock market and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
Headquarters and main production site are within Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, alongside one of Jaguar Land Rover's development centres on the site of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. One of Aston Martin's recent cars was named after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has announced plans to turn itself into a global luxurious brand, and is increasingly branching out into projects including speed boats, bikes, clothing and real estate development, even submarines plus aircraft, mostly on a license basis
