Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and great tourers. It was created in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 by David Brown, it became associated with expensive great touring cars in the year 1950s and 1960s, and with the fictional character James Bond following his use of a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their particular sports cars are deemed as a British ethnic icon. Aston Martin provides held a Royal Warrant as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince of Wales since 1982. This has over 150 car dealerships in over 50 countries on six regions, making them a global automobile brand. The company is traded at the London Stock market and is the constituent from the FTSE 250 Index.
Headquarters and primary production site are in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, alongside one of Jaguar Land Rover's development centres on the website of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. One of Aston Martin's latest cars was named after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has introduced plans to turn by itself into a global luxury brand, and is progressively branching out into projects including speed boats, bicycles, clothing and real property development, even submarines plus aircraft, mostly on the license basis
