Bentley Motors Limited (/ˈbɛntli/) is a British manufacturer and online marketer of luxury cars plus SUVs—and a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group since 1998.
Headquartered in Crewe, Britain, the company was started as Bentley Motors Restricted by W. O. Bentley in 1919 in Cricklewood, North London—and became widely known for winning the 24 Hours of The Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, plus 2003.
Prominent models lengthen through the historic sports-racing Bentley 4½ Litre and Bentley Speed Six; the more recent Bentley R TypeContinental, Bentley Turbo R, plus Bentley Arnage; to the current model line—including the particular Continental Flying Spur, Ls GT, Bentley Bentayga plus the Mulsanne—which are advertised worldwide, with China as its greatest market as of November 2012.
