Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers. It was started in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 by David Brown, it grew to become associated with expensive great touring cars in the 1950s and 1960s, and with the fictional character James Relationship following his use of a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their particular sports cars are regarded as a British social icon. Aston Martin has held a Royal Warrant as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince of Wales since 1982. It has over 150 vehicle dealerships in over fifty countries on six regions, making them a global vehicle brand. The company is traded at the London Stock market and is a constituent from the FTSE 250 Index.

Headquarters and main production site are within Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, together with one of Jaguar Property Rover's development centres on the site of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. A single of Aston Martin's current cars was named after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has introduced plans to turn alone into a global high-class brand, and is increasingly branching out into projects including speed boats, bicycles, clothing and real estate development, even submarines plus aircraft, mostly on a certification basis
