Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of high-class sports cars and grand tourers. It was started in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 simply by David Brown, it grew to become associated with expensive fantastic touring cars in the 1950s plus 1960s, and with the fictional character James Bond following his use of a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their own sports cars are regarded as a British ethnic icon. Aston Martin has held a Royal Bring about as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince associated with Wales since 1982. This has over 150 car dealerships in over 50 countries on six continents, making them a worldwide vehicle brand. The company is usually traded at the Greater london Stock market and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
Headquarters and primary production site are within Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, alongside one of Jaguar Land Rover's development centres on the website of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. A single of Aston Martin's latest cars was named right after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has announced plans to turn itself into a global luxury brand, and is progressively branching out into tasks including speed boats, bikes, clothing and real property development, even submarines and aircraft, mostly on the license basis
