Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers. It was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 by David Brown, it grew to become associated with expensive fantastic touring cars in the year 1950s and 1960s, and with the fictional character James Connection following his usage of the DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their particular sports cars are regarded as a British ethnic icon. Aston Martin offers held a Royal Justify as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince associated with Wales since 1982. This has over 150 car dealerships in over fifty countries on six continents, making them a worldwide vehicle brand. The company is traded at the London Stock market and is a constituent from the FTSE 250 Index.
Headquarters and main production site are in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, together with one of Jaguar Land Rover's development centres on the website of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. 1 of Aston Martin's current cars was named after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has introduced plans to turn by itself into a global luxurious brand, and is increasingly branching out into projects including speed boats, bicycles, clothing and real property development, even submarines plus aircraft, mostly on a license basis
