Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc is a British independent manufacturer of luxurious sports cars and great tourers. It was started in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 simply by David Brown, it grew to become associated with expensive grand touring cars in the 1950s plus 1960s, and with the fictional character James Relationship following his using a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their own sports cars are considered as a British ethnic icon. Aston Martin provides held a Royal Justify as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince associated with Wales since 1982. It has over 150 car dealerships in over 50 countries on six continents, making them a global vehicle brand. The company will be traded at the Greater london Stock Exchange and is the constituent from the FTSE 250 Index.
Headquarters and primary production site are within Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, alongside one of Jaguar Property Rover's development centres on the site of a former RAF V Bomber airbase. 1 of Aston Martin's recent cars was named right after the 1950s Avro Vulcanbomber. Aston Martin has announced plans to turn by itself into a global luxury brand, and is increasingly branching out into projects including speed boats, bikes, clothing and real property development, even submarines and aircraft, mostly on the certification basis
